EDUBest QR Attendance is a commercial app provided by EDUBest Technologies under a SaaS (Software as a Service) model. The app is exclusively designed for schools to mark and manage QR-based attendance for students and staff. Users do not have any sign-up option in the app. All accounts are created and managed by the School Superadmin using the EDUBest Web Application.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our EDUBest QR Attendance App.
We collect only the information that is required for secure login and attendance tracking. The personal information is provided to us by your school administration through the EDUBest Web System. No user-generated registration or public sign-up is available.
Types of Information:
The app does not store any biometric data, user photos, or location data. All data is securely transmitted to EDUBest servers using encrypted protocols.
The app requests access to the device camera only for scanning QR Codes to mark attendance. We do not take photos, record videos, or store camera data.
When QR codes are scanned, we collect timestamp, user identity (from their QR code), and user role. This information helps in generating attendance reports for the school.
In case of an app error or crash, we may collect basic device information such as IP address, device model, OS version, time of error, and minimal technical logs for debugging.
Our app does not use cookies. However, some school websites or portals accessed externally may use cookies as per their privacy policies.
We do not share personal data with any third-party marketing or analytics services. Some secure cloud hosting and authorized service providers may process data for system performance or storage only on our behalf and under strict confidentiality.
We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS, SSL, and secure API methods) to protect your data. However, no electronic storage or Internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute safety.
Only authorized school administrators and staff members with appropriate access rights can view attendance data. Other users, such as teachers or students, can only access limited information based on their assigned role.
There is no public sign-up, social login, or self-registration. Accounts are created only by the EDUBest Web System via School Superadmin.
If a user wishes to delete their account, they can request their School Superadmin. Upon authorized approval, EDUBest will permanently delete all associated user data from servers.
Though the app may be used for student attendance, we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13. All children's data is entered by school administration with verified permission from parents or guardians.
This app does not include external links. If you access any school website or portal outside the app, their privacy policies will apply, and EDUBest is not responsible for their content or practices.
Attendance data is retained only as long as the institution uses EDUBest services. Upon termination of services or request by the institution, all data is securely deleted.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and become effective immediately after posting.
